This picture is my son's first visit to Fenway Park. I love that I was able to connect with my boys about my work and what I am so passionate about by enjoying a game here. The sounds, the smells, the vibrant colors, teaching them the words to sweet Caroline or the swaying to the 7th inning stretch...its these memories that future generations get to make due to the Alliance's diligence to save the park. I am so honored to be a part of this organization to help save places that matter most to Boston.

Preservation for me is a tangible connection to the past. Listening to the stories passed down about a particular place and being able to visualize what it was like for the inhabitants. To touch the historic fabric and relish in just exactly how old it is, what it must have looked like in its heyday. These are my favorite parts of preservation and why I enjoy going to work each day. Change is inevitable, however if we value our roots, we can bring these buildings and places into the future by creating something wonderful for generations to come.
