Vicki Adjami's Fundraising Page

This is the building my office is located in. Originally constructed in 1918 by the U.S. Department of Defense as a vital waterside storehouse for the South Boston Army Base, this building has played a pivotal role in Boston's history. During World War II, it was a bustling hub where 50,000 people worked tirelessly to repair American ships and distribute military goods.
Today, the Innovation and Design Building stands as a testament to our city's heritage and innovation economy. It's home to a diverse mix of companies driving Boston's progress, all while nestled on one of the city's last active drydocks.
As a long-time Boston resident and Board member of the Boston Preservation Alliance, I am deeply passionate about preserving our city's rich history and ensuring its evolution is inclusive, equitable, and vibrant. The Alliance tirelessly advocates for our historic resources and represents the dynamic intersection of people and place that makes Boston unique, and a place we all belong.
Here is what your donation will allow us to do:
- Conduct ACT (Advocate Certification Training) to empower Bostonians in advocating for their own neighborhoods
- Support our engagement with the city in protecting some of Boston’s most treasured buildings and spaces, from Fenway Park to the Buckminster Hotel
- Travel to national events to further elevate the presence of the Alliance and the importance of historic preservation in Boston
I hope you will help reach my goal to raise $2,500. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference.
Thank you for your support!
ABOUT Preservation Month | 2024
For 45 years the Boston Preservation Alliance has served the residents of Boston as a nonprofit organization that protects and improves the quality of Boston's architectural and cultural heritage. Through advocacy and education, we bring people and organizations together to influence the future of Boston's historic buildings, landscapes, and communities.
Without our members, donors, and community partners, our voice would fall silent–a growing membership makes our voice stronger because together we make Boston better.
Check out the projects we're currently engaged in and thank you for your continued consideration and support.
